I found this commercial on Facebook; it was posted on one of my friend’s page and, after watching it, it literally brought me to tears. Every person who is lucky enough to find love in this world should have the right to make the ultimate commitment to that special someone. This commercial is not just about a homosexual relationship (as you will see while watching it!) it is a salute to love in its truest, most beautiful form.

Back in Action!

Due to some difficulties that arose (such is life) I put this blog on hold. Thank GOODNESS, things are looking up and I am going to be posting regularly from now on. I hope you’re excited; I sure am.

West Side Story

I was born to older women. My biological mom was 27 and my other mami was 34. This fact is probably the reason behind why I love musicals. Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music, you name it, I love it. Soooooo, you can imagine my excitement when I learned West Side Story Broadway was part of the lineup in the Dallas Summer Musical Shows!

West Side Story is playing all this month of October in Dallas, TX Monday- Saturday. Now Picture this: Center Stage, Orchestra seating, taking in all the amazing drama and musical scores, including my FAVORITE: ‘America’. It’s enough to make a gay boy squeal. My girlfriend, on the other hand? Not so much.

Ebony (my gf) was born to teenage parents on the south side of chicago. They then moved to California. So while I never watched Menace to Society or listened to Suga Free , she’s never seen ANY musical EVER. Luckily she’s always open to experience new things so I didn’t have to threaten her life to get her to agree to join me.Her level excitement, however, was under-whelming.

I intend on making her a loyal fan one musical at a time. ‘West Side Story, Ebony. Ebony, West Side Story!’

This is an amazing day for me; it is my first post on the Lesbianest blog ( a blog I have been telling myself to create for a long time now.)
